and her chin. and her always messy hair. and her toes that are painted red right now. and her artwork. and her laugh. and her love of office supplies. and her excitement about preschool. and her ability to work the tivo. and her perfect delivery of her line in the primary program with a smile and a wave to us after. and i really, really want another one of her. last night as i got up to take care of the puppy, i wished and wished that i was waking up to nurse a baby. i promise i won't complain next time i have sleepless nights. promise.
in a recent email, i told a friend to start a blog so i could see what she's up to. she wrote back the following questions: "tell be about blogging. they're fun to read... how much time do you spend on yours? why do you spend time on yours? is it a form of journaling, in that it helps keep one's perspective straight?" yes, but even more. i really don't spend a ton of time. i typically update late at night before bed with whatever has been in my thoughts that day. it takes about 15 minutes. however, the picture taking/ crafting/ planning i do is my whole day, part of my life. this is just the place i spit that out at night so i can sleep. but there is so much more to this crazy blogging thing. it has been an incredible blessing in my life. those questions prompted me to articulate it- here are some of the many reasons i blog:
what are your thoughts on blogging? why do you do it/ not do it? what have you learned about yourself from blogging? has it been a blessing or curse in your life? how much time do you spend?
if anyone can find this exact shirt, in a vintage cotton (you know the soft kind) in a men's size medium, you will be rewarded handsomly. i have been looking online and can only find dumber versions. and while we are looking at ani/edward, (henceforth he shall be known), let me try again to convince a few disbelievers of his ability to play our vampire boy (kristen, this is for you)...
cate was thinking outloud the other day: "i love every holiday...my birthdaaay, christmassss, valentinessss, fanksgiviiiiing, halloweeeeeeeen, oh! and tuesdays and fursdays!" those are the days she goes to preschool. i hope she will always think that school is as fun as christmas, but somehow i doubt it. so for now i will just enjoy her happy dances and excited smiles as she waits for the carpool with her toast every tuesday and thursday. oh how i love her.
