I agree, and I bow to your love & quoting skills of John Hughes movies.
some of my favorite quotes maybe used too often on my part to the utter confusion of the person I'm speaking to from 16 candles:
"it's really human of you to listen to all of my bull$#*!"
"when you don't have anything, you don't have anything to lose, right?"
"i'm not really a farmer"
and a hundred more.
RIP John Hughes

Really!!! SO sad. I love his movies. Nick always makes fun of me cause they are my favorite.

"What was he wearing? Well let's see, he was wearing a red argyle sweater, and tan trousers, and red shoes. No, he's not retarded!"

"Black Trans-am, pink guy!"

i LOVE that movie.

i'm in the math club, uh, the latin club and the physics club...physics club.

you don't spell it son, you eat it!

"That's very clever, sir. But what if there's a fire? I think violating fire codes and endangering the lives of children would be unwise at this juncture in your career, sir."

Show dick some respect. I am left bereft by the tremendous loss I have suffered with the death of john Hughes, but between grief and nothing... I'll take grief. And all joking aside, I'm devestated. He is my writing idol.

Love the teapot

I'm so glad to know that my sister and I aren't the only "geeks" that quote his movies constantly! Thanks so much!

"My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with this girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 flavors last night...I guess it's pretty serious."

I guess john hughes quoting must be a sister thing because its my sister's and my thing as well.

"When Cameron was in egypt's land, let my Cameron go"

When I talk the youth SS class and asked a question, I dryly said, "Anyone? Anyone?"

AND 16 candles came true for me 3 years later. Except it was my 17th birthday that my parents forgot because my older sister was getting married.

*taught* Not talked.

i had no idea. i am a huge sixteen candles fan!

Google "Allison Fields John Hughes tribute"-
Something like "We'll know when we get there" will pop up. You MUST read this if you haven't...you will love this man even more. Made me cry. Had to send it along to you when I read the post. Enjoy.

My best friend and I quote his movies all the time, from "Whassa happenin, hot stuff?" to "Ferris, Bueller, you're my HERO" XD

"Hey Howard, there's your Chinaman!"

In Grandpa Fred, John Hughes created the best Grandpa EVER!

Pure genius.
