this is cate and her cousin charlie.
they love each other.
charlie (and his brother jack) look like what i imagine our future sons will look like. i wish those future boys would come on into the present.
i have collected lots of garage sale finds for them.
(i have found baby saltwaters two garage sale weekends in a row for a buck!) and you should see the hats and sweaters...
other random thoughts today:
i am getting extremely anxious for fall. i can always tell when i'm ready for my favorite time of year because i want to knit again. (also i pick up a harry potter). both of these things are happening.
after a long summer of relaxing, i am feeling a rush of creative energy. i'm ready to make make make!!
oh ya! check out the lovely list, a great blog about inspiring women who blog. and thanks for the feature, brandy!
school is starting and cate's on the early track. she said: "this is gonna hurt." we are very, very afraid of the mornings.
i have a lot to do. but i think hogwarts and some bubbles in the bath are calling my name...
what's on your mind today?

i hope those future sons listen to their mama and come now!!
i too am anxious for fall - but not for school. you see... i am the student in this household.

I am also anxious for fall. I love falling leaves and bright orange pumpkins. Cozy blankets and cups of apple cider. Although I live in Texas, so fall doesn't really happen. I can wish though.

i keep looking up to the mountains to see if the leaves are changing yet. i am SO anxious for the fall to come.
i am yearning to learn to knit and/or crochet. if you feel like giving any free lessons, let me know! i want to make a soft, smooshy blanket for baby that is due in november. i am also dusting off the sewing machine because i need to finish my first quilt, but i am scared that i will muck it all up. i have a lot of crafty projects swirling around in my head and they are getting me very excited for the cooler weather to set in!

I love Cate's reaction to having to get up early for school. I feel that way most mornings that I have to get up to go to work!
And NOOOO! Don't wish for cooler/cold weather just yet. I am thoroughly enjoying the beautiful warm weather still!

Fall is my favorite time of year too...leaves, sweaters, football games, cocoa.
My mind is full of the usual today...you know, babies...callings...being the best i can be....oh and a trip alone to Utah in September.
May I stop by and say hi? :)

"This is going to hurt . . ." How perfectly said!
I've just spent an hour visiting your blog and I love the way you write. You've inflated my blogging balloon!

I am ready for fall, too! It's my favorite time of the year. I live in Alabama, so fall comes late and doesn't stay for too long.

I re-read all 7 Harry Potters this summer. I'm getting ready to start an intense nursing program and so have enjoyed this summer reading, swimming and hanging out with my boys.
I love fall too.
Love your blog.
(Found you through Mandee, I grew up with her and my brother with Mikie)

i just reread hp 6 & 7 after the movie premier. and i totally cried AGAIN when dobby dies, when fred dies, and when harry is going into the forest and then uses the resurection stone so that his parents, sirius, & lupin join him. heck, i cry through the whole last several chapters of 7 even though i've read it 3 times already. she did such a good job on that one! if only they'd make the movies half as good.
fall sounds fab, but living in the stinkin' desert i won't see it until about dec. or maybe nov if i drive a few hours away. but those springy "winters" we get here are really nice.

on my mind: so happy my teacher-hubby is going back to school. welcome back routine and clean house. for some reason, 2 months of constant togetherness is stressful.
