that i love florals is not new news. i've been collecting vintage floral fabrics for forever. i decided to finally allow them to be cut up once i got the picture of this quilt in my head. vintage wallpapers were the inspiration, hence the name. cate was so happy when i made her bed up with the wallpaper quilt. and she adores the butterflies who are flying off with her dreams.(i bought them at the craft store and used poster putty to attach them).
want to make one too? i will share my fabric with you! i've made up a few kits that are now for sale in the shop- the quilt is twin or large throw sized. included in the kit are 165 pre-cut squares and the binding using over 25 different delightfully girly fabrics for you to sew up. the skill level is very very easy. you could easily adapt the baby quilt instructions from my sidebar.
purchase your kit here: kelly mccaleb handmade.

Very beautiful. The funny thing is that I am going to be moving into a new house and have been thinking of what to do in my little girls room. I have been thinking about making a quilt with these exact colors. So it is nice to see it put together:)

My CA king quilt on my bed is shredded, in shambles...but I haven't replaced it yet because really, what is better than covering up with a quilt that is so old and soft it is shredding up in places?
Well, I think maybe THIS quilt could be better. Can I order one in CA King? :) :) :)
It is GORGEOUS Kelly. WOW.

Awesome quilt! I love the colors! Not wishing my nineteen month olds toddlerhood away, I have no time for quilting right now, but oh how I look forward to creating stuff like this in the near future.

I love it! I seriously have a thing for vintage florals and simple patchwork quilts.

My little sisters have several of these types of quilts from Pottery Barn Kids. They spent a lot of money on them because our family has no crafting talent. This is so great. Thanks for sharing!

Oh so beautiful. I love all of your choices. You have very good taste (as does Kate).

Very beautiful, and more importantly (for me), it inspires me to go out and collect some great fabrics for my own creation. Thank you, thank you, I needed some sewing inspiration.
(It's the quilting that really turns a fun quilt into a gorgeous quilt. Do you do your own quilting, or do you hire someone for that part?)

I love this quilt! I wish I had enough money to buy it! So jealous!

That quilt is so beautiful! I doubt it will still be available after I move in November, but if it is (or something else), you bet your boots I'll be scoping out your etsy shop.

This is so beautiful. Is it strange that it scares me to square up that many corners? I may have to consider it for some of the vintage fabrics I have laying around though.

Do you mind sharing what the paint color of your wall is? I love it, and the quilt of course :-)
