i am still working hard on my goals from last year- which now i understand are, in truth, life-long aspirations rather than a simple year's to do list. but in each and every area i have to say i've made progress, be it ever so slight. i will call last year a success since i am still actively working on every goal, even if i continue to fall short. amazingly, there are even been a few great strides in some areas. (like being less self-critical!).
right now i am focusing on getting my yoga practice back where i like it (several good sessions a week) and eating more fruit and vegetables. that's a couple short termers for this month. i'll be making small goals and working at it all for, oh, about sixty more years. then, if i am lucky enough to reach ninety i am going to do nothing but eat chocolate chip cookies all day while watching movies with my sisters. just so you know.
totally unrelated: the other morning cate asked grant to teach her how to play the guitar. they were sitting in the beautiful morning light streaming through the window in their pajamas having a moment. so i grabbed my camera and fell in love with both of them all over again...
...and i resolved to love them everyday, forever.
that one i can handle.

lovely pic and sentiment...

love this post! i read your lovely list from last year and felt overwhelmed . . . so, i agree: life-long pursuits! and choco-chip cookies at 80 sounds even better!
but that last resolution? the bestest of all!

Ummm that picture of Grant + Kate is so gorgeous.
Also, Lovely Lindsay (whose comment is above mine) gave me that same Jill Bliss notebook and I love it. It makes me so happy. My writing, however, isn't nearly as cute as yours :)

So you are into a plant-based diet. Do you still drink raw milk? I finally bought my first gallon this week just to make kefir, but I don't drink it plain (at this point). I'm still up in the air between China Study info and Weston A Price info.

i lean towards weston a price info- we drink raw milk and eat raw cheese. i do think (and so do most price-ers) that plants and whole grains have to be the main focus, though. i have some issues with the china study, but i think the main point is that we need more raw plants! but i believe in animal products- i just think we need to eat less FLESH! and more seafood (clean)!

Thank you. That is what I have been thinking, as we have been experimenting with a few things to see what helps us feel good. The WOW does say meat sparingly, but doesn't mention dairy and eggs. We went off dairy about a year ago, and I hate how I have to take tons of calcium supps or else my muscles cramp up. Seems so unnatural. So we've been adding in yogurt, and now kefir. However, I've been a little resistant to Weston A Price because a lot of people that follow it (including Sally Fallon, from the pics) struggles a little with weight. But you look so great, so that's very convincing to me.
