all i want to do today is clean the bathroom, wash my sheets, mop the kitchen, and breathe deeply in and out. meditation in motion, as baron baptiste says.

this is definitely my mid-week plan for today. sending hubby with the car so I CAN'T go out, and soaking up the housework and peace from staying in.

Kelly, this inspiration was quite timely. My husband and I are temporarily living in his parents' house (empty of people, full of stuff), and we agreed to clean and organize it for the next set of siblings who will be moving in.
After a long evening and night of cleaning, he exclaimed in frustration, "What is the POINT of all of this if it's just going to get dirty and cluttered again when the next family members move in?!"
I paraphrased your "point of pointlessness" to him, and we had a good discussion about it. It really lightened the mood. The point for me is that a job well done simply feels satisfying, and nothing can duplicate the good feeling I get from a truly clean and organized home, even if I have to do it over and over.
So thanks!
