all along the 16th street mall (aka the downtown strip of denver) there are pianos everywhere. yes, pianos. old ones, painted and signed by artists, just hanging out every hundred yards or so for anyone to play. they have signs on them that say "the keys to the city, please play anytime." my heart? bursting. a little taste, and not even of the half of them:
could i resist playing a little chopin with the brilliant juxtaposition of city sirens in the background? no, my friends, i could not. not even with half the keys missing or stuck and it sounding awful....

LOVE this! How amaze!

Kelly, this makes me so happy, I feel like my heart could burst.
I am a piano player too, and I NEED to get to Denver to play those.

Kelly,
This piano project is fabulous, thanks for posting. And you sound great! Didn't realize you lived in Denver. There is an amazing acupuncturist right in the city who helped my friend conceive her two daughters. If you're interested here's her info: http://www.acudenver.com/
