what good advice. i read and thought about it all, and also the many emails (thank you thank you) and this is what i think: the comments that most woke me up were those reminding me that kindergarten is like 2.5 hours. that's nothing. so basically i'll have no excuse not to work out every day and that's about all the extra time i'll be getting. so. i think i shall continue to read every published book on marriage and child rearing that garage sales and the library have to offer. i will continue to be an advocate. i will perhaps give more attention to the etsy shop if more kids don't come soon. but the thing is, i feel like more will come soon, and i certainly won't want to be stressed out in school, i'll want to be enjoying every minute of it. and i feel like someday, later, i will do social work or family counseling or rehab programs or be a one woman army against pornography. i've felt that many times. but i think i'll wait. i think the dream was just a dream about something that i've many times dreamed of doing. right now, i think i'll keep piddling around my house in pajamas.
and now, you have proven to be great personal life coaches/ good choice makers, and i have lots more questions! (and i will be gone all weekend so you have lots of time to give me all your wisdom and answer one or two). ok, human googles, here's what's currently keeping me up at night:
- if i don't want to be adjusted by a chiropractor, but i have chronic and horrible neck and back pain, who do i see? what kind of m.d. would help with that, and what, if anything, can they do? (i don't want pain killers. that's not true. i want them really bad which is why i can't have them. get it?) are there any home remedies you know? (i already do yoga, use a heating pad, take baths, etc.)
- to any morning people out there: how? why? help? i want to be like you.
- why don't yarns tell us the gauge in different stitches, not just st st? gauge drives me nuts. i hate doing swatches. i want to know a quicker way to know if a specific yarn will work for a specific pattern. i want to know the gauge for a particular yarn in garter, st st, seed, etc. are there resources for this? i've googled around many times and it remains a mystery.
- why do some people stop like four car lengths behind the car in front of them at stoplights? i can't think of one good reason for this. i am certified as a driver's ed teacher and i can't think of one good reason. i can think of a lot of negatives. like the people trying to get into turn lanes, etc. that are stuck behind these people. anyone know?
- what happens if a puppy doesn't get all their shots? how important are they, really?
- is there available anywhere in the whole world the original colors of the flea market fancy line, particularly the browns? i've searched high and low.
- what age should you begin your child on piano? i started at cate's age and i just can't imagine that. should i be teaching her? should i wait till she can read? should i not teach her, but wait and have someone else? i am not a fan of over scheduling, or even scheduling- but i was given lots of oppurtunities to explore what i liked. by cate's age i was in tap, ballet, piano and brownie scouts, my mom had taught me to read (oops, sorry cate) with lots of other activities as i got older from bobby sox to gymnastics. some i hated, some i did my whole life. and my mom had six kids and no money! but developing talents was very important to her and she found a way. cate is in nothing and i'm so ok with that. but i loved to dance all my life. i love piano. i have great memories of brownies and girl scouts. am i just lazy? cause i dread signing her up for anything.
- what's a great new fiction book to read? i'm looking for my next "bath book". i went to go buy eat, pray, love- and reading the back appalled me. it made it sound as though she had a husband and family and was depressed so she left them to "find herself" and had a glorious time. i slammed it back on the costco table. have you read it? is it like that? any other good reads you recommend?
- would it be possible for blogger to stop asking me if i care about displaying unsecure items? cause i don't, nor ever will, care.
